Sara Sommers came to the Alexander Technique seeking neck and shoulder pain relief. She found the Technique gave her much more! It enriched her life with its practices of mindfulness and poise, reducing pain, stiffness, stress and tension. Today, certified by the American Society for the Alexander Technique, trained in Mindfulness, Ergonomics and Pilates, Sara offers individual and corporate lessons in posture practices for pain relief, stress management, presence, and artistic and athletic performance. With over 10 years of experience, Sara has helped hundreds of people find their “just right” balance and freedom from disruptive, habitual cycles. She blends a multi-faceted career in Wellness and Fitness, Instructional Design, the Theater Arts and Music, and is a skilled educator and dynamic speaker. With a Master of Science in Mass Communications from Boston University and a BA in English with a minor in Music from the College of William and Mary, Sara embraces educational experiences that yield life applications. She lives near Wilmington in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and sees clients both in person and online.
